Daniel has been an assistant guide on mountain biking and climbing trips for Brigham Young University’s MBA program since August 2024, as part of the Razor’s Edge course. A sentence or two about your climbing background, your history with Ashley Gorge and why you started guiding.

Certifications and Training

  • American Red Cross Adult First Aid / CPR / AED, valid through March 2027
  • Assistant guide, mountain biking and climbing trips, BYU MBA Razor’s Edge course, since August 2024
  • Uintah County via ferrata guide permit, status

Our Guide Standards

Every guide who leads a trip for us must hold, at minimum:

  • Current first aid and CPR certification
  • Uintah County via ferrata guide permit
  • Training in via ferrata technique, coaching and assisting nervous climbers
  • Training in rescue and lowering a stuck or injured guest
  • Supervised shadow trips on Ashley Gorge before leading guests
